Default To Rez, or not to rez, that is the question!

I have been playing for over a year now, I consider myself to be an ok player. I still get the every-so-often "ur a nub u dont now wat ur doing!!1" said to me. But everyone gets that, right??

So my problem is, do heros bring rez? If so rez signet, rebirth, rez chant etc.? I usually have rez chant on my monk - on manual select. And rez signet on my other heros. I have been told by many of my friends give me different solutions; to have all your heros use rez signet, all on rez chant, no rez on monk at all, rebirth on monk.

I mean its not really much of a problem with me, because no one in my group usually dies unless we get ganked, I am just wondering, from one of you "elite players" What is best thing to do?

Thank you guys

Don't bother with res on Monks. Even on real players. There is nearly always something you can use instead of it for efficiency, and if your party wiped, you would spend less time just dying and ressing, if not bring res scrolls.

As for res on heroes apart from Monks, I disagree. Mid-battle res skills could easily prevent wipes, not to mention that DPSignet also doubles up as a DP preventer for whoever uses it, given the ally dies.

Rebirth or Res Chant, generally, from what I've experienced. Sig works ok too, but obviously limited use.

If I have to take a mid battle ress skill that would be DP Signet or Restore Life.

Restore life is an ok battle res, but the whole touch-skill idea doesn't suit me well.

I agree. Touch range can be a bit iffy if say you have people in melee and you overaggro.

dont bother with rez on monks, nohing worse than losing your monk due to ressing wile team is collapsing. Use hardrezzes on any other char you want, but not primary healers, best resses imho are FoMF, DPS and our ever so loved Vengeance! Worst rez is surely Ressurect, most balanced is Rez Sig and most "Good but useless" is rebirth cuz you use it incase everyone has died cuz they are bad and you are bad wasting their time on ressing everyone.

I disable REZ on my monk (rb) so in case it survives it will have a way to rez us all... other then that I like bringing Restore Life (short casting time) on my ele heroes cuz they can do a rez and have plenty energy to continue... As for rest I take DPS or Chant... I never put rez on me (I rather bring Rez Scroll) and since there are so many pve spells I have a really hard time putting up a build that can have a good use...

I favor res that gives full health and full energy. This is why I like Vengeance when with heroes and henchies, but you need to tweak that and I usually let my MM carry it so that nobody would use it on the MM for obvious reasons.

Having res make them more powerful. Otherwise try fighting stone summit in Slavers with and without FS.

Rezzes are terrible.

If you have to use 1, use a rez scroll.
Otherwise learn to monk/get better monks.

elite player here.
don't even bother with reses at all. if ur truly elite nothing will die, ever.
anything but perfection in the srs bsns that is pve should be considered total failure

the monk almost always brings rebirth. obviously doesn't cast in battle. a good monk probably has the keenest idea on what the party can or can not handle. when the party is going to collapse, the monk has the greatest chance of getting out.

the counterpoint is that everyone should just die and restart at shrine. however, the monk's skills are hit the hardest by dp because she's usually one of the most critical elements.

rebirth is usually good since it can mitigate aggro problems.

Lol! Yes if you are super duper elite and you or your heroes/henchies/allies will never ever die (i.e. they are all Legendary Survivor material), you dont need a res of course.

There's this thing called not-bad players.

I know this might come as a surprise to you, but they exist.

They kinda know how to efficiently frontline, midline, and backline.

Now that I have blown your mind, I think we might need a janitor over here.

Lag happens.

Don't put a rez on the monk hero; they'll have to stop keeping your party alive to restore one person. In that time, more party members can die as a result. If you play monk in a PuG, bring a res. You can't account for their skill, and they will demand it.

Heroes are very fast at mid-battle res; your party can get by with half the team carrying some form of res skill; one of those should be a "hard," or re-usable res.

If you actually construct a team build to counter an area, you can do without any res skills altogether, barring lag.

If you never ever die, then you may as well go for legendary survivor for all your characters. But it would be incredible if all your heroes and henchies would also never ever die in any/ALL HM areas in the game. This I have to see, in a few places I have in mind.

Care to prove it in game with a H/H team? I always love to offer challenges to fantastic claims like that.

if you're gonna take rez, I think the 4 best options are,

Rebirth,

rez chant,

Flesh of my flesh,

Death pact signet.
